The International Medical Relief Association (MEDICS) visited the Al-Aqrabat Specialized Orthopedic Hospital in the northern Idlib countryside. The visit came during an inspection tour conducted by Medics to monitor the humanitarian and health needs in northern Syria. During the visit, the Medics team met with Dr. Samih Qaddour, the hospital director, and reached an agreement for mutual cooperation that would contribute to developing the efforts of an organization supporting the Syrian people and their health.

ToggleAbout Al-Aqrabat Specialized Hospital
Al-Aqrabat Hospital is a private medical facility established in 2012, located in the village of Al-Aqrabat near the Syrian-Turkish border in the northern Idlib countryside of northwest Syria.
The hospital specializes in orthopedic and reconstructive care and surgery, aiming to provide the necessary care to everyone regardless of their ethnic backgrounds or financial capabilities through dedicated specialists working hard to help patients regain their mobility and independence.
Why Health Support for Northern Syria?
The ongoing conflict in Syria has led to the destruction of the health infrastructure, increasing the population’s need to rebuild medical care facilities and the need for providing medicines, equipment, and medical teams capable of handling the cases in need.
For the same reasons, training and equipping local health workers in the area is considered necessary.
