The agreement focuses on the restoration of the eastern building of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex. As the largest medical complex in Palestine, Al-Shifa has been a cornerstone of Palestinian healthcare since its establishment in 1946. The complex has a long history of providing essential medical services to the people of Gaza, particularly during periods of Israeli aggression against the Strip.
The restoration project will update the infrastructure of the eastern building and improve medical services provided to thousands of patients. This initiative stands as a testament to Medics World-Wide’s unwavering commitment to supporting and strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people, despite the ongoing challenges and brutal war they face.
The Chairman of Medics World-Wide expressed hope for the success of this project, saying: “We ask God to bless this work. Our goal is to serve our people and strengthen their resilience during these difficult times. The restoration of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex is a crucial step toward ensuring that our healthcare system remains strong and capable of meeting the needs of our community.”

News Background

Medics World-Wide has a long history of providing humanitarian aid and medical support in war zones, particularly in Gaza. This project is a continuation of our mission to alleviate human suffering and deliver essential health services to those in need. This agreement with the Palestinian Ministry of Health reinforces Medics’ commitment to supporting Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure and ensuring its continued effectiveness and operation.
